Mike Cozzi is a licensed Real Estate Broker that has built a reputation for excellence over the past 15 year in the commercial real estate industry by managing diverse property portfolios across the United States. Specializing in shopping centers, industrial properties, medical office buildings, and triple net lease properties, Mike combines his deep industry knowledge with a commitment to operational efficiency and tenant satisfaction.
Currently serving as the AVP, Director of Operations & Capital Projects at Inland Commercial Real Estate Services, Mike oversees capital improvement projects for a portfolio spanning over 40 states, totaling more than 30 million square feet of gross leasable area.
His expertise in managing large, complex portfolios was honed during his time as a senior property manager overseeing portfolios totaling over 4 million square feet with more than 250 tenants across multiple regions. Mike’s experience ranges from the west coast in California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah to the Midwest & South, including states like Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Mississippi and Oklahoma.
At Inland, Mike is known for his ability to cultivate lasting relationships with tenants - from national retail chains to small independent businesses - helping ensure both tenant satisfaction and operational success. His hands-on approach to property management includes everything from high-level strategic planning to day-to-day problem solving, and it’s this combination that allows him to drive continuous improvement and high performance across his portfolio.
Before joining Inland, Mike worked with Madison Corporate Group (MCG) as a property manager where he managed the daily operations of three shopping centers in Illinois. During this time, he successfully led two major façade renovations and a complex roof restoration after a collapse over a major grocery anchor tenant. These experiences further honed his ability to manage large-scale capital projects and navigate the challenges of commercial property management.
Mike earned a degree in Marketing from DePaul University in 2004, where he focused on brand planning, web-based marketing, and market research—skills he uses to inform his strategic approach to real estate management. His combination of operational expertise and marketing acumen allows him to add a unique value to both tenants and property owners.

Outside of his professional career, Mike Cozzi brings the same passion for excellence and hands-on approach to his personal life. A former amateur boxer, Mike competed in several bouts throughout the Chicagoland area, including in the prestigious Chicago Golden Gloves tournaments. His competitive drive and discipline continue to influence his work ethic today.
Mike is also deeply committed to giving back to the community. He spent several years as the assistant wrestling coach for the Gator Wrestling Club in Northbrook, the very club where he honed his skills as a youth. His time there reflects his dedication to mentorship and fostering the next generation of athletes.
When he’s not at work Mike enjoys a variety of hobbies that reflect his interest in both physical fitness and craftsmanship. A dedicated weightlifter, he also enjoys archery and continues to box for personal fitness. Known as a consummate "tinkerer," Mike finds satisfaction in hands-on projects—from working on automotive modifications to tackling home improvement projects.
In addition to his technical skills, Mike is passionate about entertaining and cooking, regularly hosting friends and family for meals. When the weather’s right, he’s often on his motorcycle, seeking out twisty back roads for an exhilarating ride.
